What does Commenced Works mean?

To some Insurers it means as soon as you dig a hole, the project has commenced and if you don’t have insurance in place before then, it is commenced works!

What does that mean?

They will charge you a lot more than if you had of taken out the insurance prior to starting.

AOBIS practicality!

We understand that in the rush, excitement of starting your new home or renovation things can be forgotten, including your construction and Public Liability Insurance.  So we classify commenced works to be past subfloor or after the slab, and you will not have to pay the loaded commenced works rates.

AOBIS understands Owner Builders and is there for them.
